I was just about to finish for the day with so much writing already done, when an eye opening picture appeared in our Dungeon Crawlers Facebook group. That picture showed the words ' Eye of the Beholder 4 ', and according to the site where it came from. Eye of the Beholder 4 is the next episode of the classic masterpiece series by a fan based developer, taking place 100 years after the Assault of the Myth Drannor and 300 years after the death of Xanathar the great beholder!Beholder Pacific Classic 2016
As you can probably tell after all the previous articles I've done over the Eye of the Beholder games, I'm just a little bit excited. Both EOTB 1 and 2 were one of the greatest rpg's ever made, and it was also developed by one of the greatest developers : Westwood Associates later known as Westwood Studios, released in the early 90's and published by the great Strategic Simulations, Inc. However apart from Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2, of which I'm currently playing through again right now, many were disappointed with Eye of the Beholder 3 as not only was it not by the same people, but it was more action oriented.

This sequel however looks to take all the best bits of Eye of the Beholder and make a number of graphical improvements across the board. In fact, many new tilesets have been shown from marble walls, to spider banners and sharp teethed doors. But the biggest change of all, is the UI, with two characters at the bottom, a compass, spell runes and overall window placement. So it certainly looks impressive from my stand point, but there is a big concern over this Eye of the Beholder 4 sequel and it was also brought up in our very own Facebook group by Stig, and that was this; ' Unless the people making this have secured the legal rights to use the Forgotten Realms setting, this project will be very very short lived '. So from this moment on, we are unsure if this game will ever see the light of day, especially as they may at some point be looking for Indiegogo funding. So keep your fingers crossed!

“Beholder, wake up. Seer (and Apprentice Seer), stick out your thumb. Loop mash up pro electro music pads 1 0 4. Beholder, you may view the Seer’s card.”

Normally, the Beholder and the Seer are on the same team and, like the Masons, can afford to have one party lie knowing other will be there to back them up. But this dynamic turns on its head if the Beholder sees that the Seer has been turned into a Werewolf.
If you, as the Beholder, see that the Seer was turned into a Werewolf/Vampire, the first thing to do is determine if the Seer herself knows she is now on Team Wolf or not.
If the Alpha Wolf is in play, and you see that the (former) Seer now has a Werewolf card, then she most likely received it from the Alpha Wolf. The Seer will most likely already know this too. The Seer, being able to look at two cards in the center, would have looked at the spare Werewolf card plus another center card, and seen that the center Werewolf card was now her own Seer card. The Seer not only now knows that she was turned into a Werewolf but also knows that the Beholder knows she was turned into a Werewolf. The Seer therefore will be on the defensive and will be looking to discredit the Beholder as soon as she can determine who the Beholder is. Gestimer 1 2 0.
If the Alpha Wolf is not in play, and the (former) Seer has a Werewolf card, then most likely the Witch, Troublemaker or Gremlin gave the Seer the Werewolf card. In this case, the Seer does not know they became a Werewolf. Without a knowledgeable and defensive (former) Seer, it becomes easier to out her as a newly turned Werewolf.
Even if the Alpha Wolf is in play, the Seer might not know she received the Werewolf card. The Gremlin, Troublemaker or Witch may have given the Seer the Wolf card, or the Alpha Wolf may have given the Werewolf card to the Robber, who in turn swapped it with the Seer, or the Seer may not have looked at the center Werewolf card after all.

If the Seer is still on Team Village, the Beholder should still be wary of stating who the Seer is. If the Seer implicates the Beholder in becoming a Werewolf, such as when the Seer sees the Beholder card in the center Werewolf card spot (indicating the Beholder was turned by the Alpha Wolf) then the Beholder will have sealed her own doom by lending credibility to the Seer’s observation.
